Introduction to Password Security and Safety For Developers

We will explore the best practices of storing passwords in databases.

About This Session

What can we learn from the last couple of data breaches? You cannot assume that databases are a safe place to store data. During this session, we'll take a look at best practices to ensure that even if a database full of user password data is leaked, the possibility of password reverse engineering is minimized.

We'll also take a deep dive into the mistakes other companies have made and explore the real life consequences of such mistakes.
