Speaking Sessions

  • Mobile Apps with ASP.NET MVC, WURFL and jQuery Mobile

    10:45 AM Sunday   Room: 5502
This session focuses on how your ASP.NET MVC app can be mobile-enabled using the jQuery Mobile library. First you will learn how to integrate the WURFL device detection capabilities into your ASP.NET MVC app using Open Source 51degrees library. Once a mobile device is detected with WURFL, we will explore how to efficiently emit server-side HTML markup that can be consumed by jQuery Mobile for rendering a UI. This session is code-driven with C# on the server-side and HTML5+Javascript+CSS3 on an iOS-based device for client-side demo. The session features a closed WiFi network so if you bring your own mobile device (iOS, Android, Blackberry) you can see the results live.
