  • The Evolution of a Scrappy Startup to a Successful Web Service

Being the one of the first engineers at Mint.com, I've had the unique experience of helping evolve the engineering architecture from a simple Java application to a multi-tiered web service that is able to support over 500k users. The purpose of this session is to discuss the key phases (prototyping, tiering, and scaling) that have helped create a successful and sustainable web service.
